In Russia, March 8 became a truly spring day. Even before sunrise, a huge bouquet of white, blue and red flowers blossomed on the Kremlin wall, resembling a map of Russia and titled: "To you, loved ones". This slogan was addressed to all women and became the most popular hashtag of the day. The number of congratulations with this mark stepped over a hundred thousand.

Congratulations sounded not only in Russian, the action "To you, loved ones" spread all over the planet with the international hashtag #MakeHerSmile - make so that she smiled.

Representatives of the beautiful half of humanity were congratulated with flash mobs, poetry and video cards. On this day the Festival of youth and students presented the women’s faces of the Festival, signing photos on social networks with hashtags that have spread around the world. Young people from all over the world congratulated the beautiful half of humanity. Over 200 messages containing warm words for mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and beloved women were signed not only with the holiday hashtag, but also with #WFYS2017.

Geography of congratulations contains more than 150 countries and about 30 different languages. The most active participants of the action were the representatives of Africa, Latin America and Asia. Some participants showed a creative approach and expressed their congratulations in a poetic form.
