On 1 December Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered his Annual Address to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
On 1 December at the St. George Hall of the Kremlin Vladimir Putin delivered his traditional address to the Federal Assembly. The president, in addition to subjects of economics, social issues, domestic and foreign policy, also outlined the importance of the development of scientific and technical potential, problems of education, need to stimulate the interest of young people in socially important professions. In addition, Putin particularly emphasized the key role of the volunteer movement and activities of nonprofit organizations in the development of civil society. The President urged to fully support the projects that form such an important for Russia atmosphere of common affairs. «It is necessary to remove all barriers to development of volunteering. I call on the civic chamber and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to provide substantial support to volunteer and charity movements of NGOs. We are all interested in active involvement of NGOs in the social sphere, which will lead to its improvement. It is necessary to appreciate the demanding, interested, active position of citizens» - was told in annual address. All these topics are inseparably connected with the young generation of Russia, determine the vector of development of youth policy for the next period.
Address to the Federal Assembly is considered one of the main events of the year in the political life of the country. This time it became the 23rd in the contemporary history. It is the program political legal document expressing vision of the head of state in the near-term strategic directions of development of Russia.
